Can anyone shed some light on this please.
In the search function of Encase 6, in the dialogue box for the search box, under the "Keyword Search Options" it shows a certain number of keywords. I haven't created any keywords for the case. The Keywords list is empty!
Can anyone kindly point out from where did Encase get these number of keywords (i presume they are default) and where can I find them?
Thanks in advance.
In version 6 there are two levels of keywords one is at the 'global' level, transferable between cases and the other case-specific.
If you haven't got two 'keywords' tabs visible in the top toolbar, go to 'View' and select 'Keywords' from the drop down list.
If you view the new keyword tab you will find a number of example search terms for credit card numbers, IP addresses and email/web addresses.
If you don't select any keywords it will search for all of these examples.
If you have created a list of keywords that you may require in future cases, put them in this global list and 'File>save all' and it will save you having to keep importing as a list.
Thanks Jerry. Found it. That's really helpful. Much appreciated.
