I have recently come across a few files that I was not aware of their function;

.IDX
.QDF
.QEL
.QPH

After a little searching I did identify them as Quicken files. I searched here and a few other places for a viewer for these, but have had no luck. I typically don't deal in financial crimes, so I haven't had a need to view these types of files (until now).

I guess to make this shorter… Is there a viewer for these types of files (hex reveals nothing readable) or will I have to beg my dept. to purchase the Quicken software?

I am using EnCase to work this case and I am not sure if other forensic software is able to view these files. I also have access to FTK and ILook.

Thanks in advance.

I am not familiar with any viewers out there. I believe that Intuit has a 30 day trial version of Quicken. You could try that.
