I am trying to rebuild a raid logical volume from four disk images obtained from a Dell Power Edge Server running Windows Server 2012 with a raid 10 configuration. The raid controller in this server is a Dell Perc S300. Online forums have indicated that this Perc S300 is implemented as a software raid.

I have access to both Encase 7 and Xways.

The stripe size of the raid is 128kb, and I have identified the two disks which were the mirrors.

I am having issues trying to determine the raid header size as this is an input for Xways and Encase in rebuilding raids.

I have performed a search on x55 xAA in an attempt to find the MBR in an effort to determine the raid header. Thus far, I have not come across anything that looks like a valid MBR on Disk 0.

Am I missing something obvious?

I no longer have access to the server.

Maybe your "Disk 0" is not really "Disk 0" (but - say - "Disk 2").

A RAID 10 (or, better, 1+0) is like this
http//commons.wikimedia.org/wiki/FileRAID_10.svg

You need only the two disks forming the RAID 0, or if you prefer, instead of attempting to rebuild a RAID 10, you should first attempt accessing a RAID 0 made out of
Disk 0 + Disk 2
OR
Disk 1 + Disk 2
OR
Disk 1+ Disk 3
etc.

BUT a specific controller/setup may have something different from "standard" or "theory", in any case if it is a RAID 1+0, Disk0=Disk1 and Disk2=Disk3

Besides the very good resource which is the given Runtime software, you may want to try using DMDE
