Re Carding Software

Most of the card readers come with a basic application as part of the package. That is probably what they used to write the data.

However I would look for traces of Stripe Snoop. That is what is often used to "research" the stripes.

For higher end use there are applications like Exeba®-COMM™, but those are $300+ and not typically what you would see in your situation.

I am working a case were an individual is using mag stripe readers and writers to re-card credit cards and gift cards. Does anyone have any suggestions of common programs used with these mag stripe writers. I'm looking for program names or .exe names. Heck…..I'm looking for any insight someone could give regarding cases of this nature.

you might want to check for things that specifically hit track or 2 on a magstripe. The scene has it's own software, like
Track2Encoder
Track1 Generator
CC2BANK

Also, be on the lookout for the dumps themself. Over here, they seem to get them through mail and chat sessions (icq is a favourite).
