Hey all,
Does anyone know how you read a serial number off of a MicroSD card? I have it set up in a UltraBlock Forensic Card reader with an adapter, but where can I poll the serial number of the card from (if I can at all)?
Thanks ahead of time,
Tom
In my experience unless the S/N comes up on the USB write blocker you won't have much joy
For evidencial reference its always good to take the volume number to link back certain link files
You can do this easily in command prompt e.g.
vol D
and the volume number will be displayed
Does plugging the card into the adapter create an entry beneath the USBStor Registry key on your system?
Instead of using a hardware writeblocker try the software "Writeblocker XP".
Try as next step the software from Nirsoft called usb device-view. Maybe this will show you the serial number of the micro sd card

Just out of curiosity, why use a tool when the OS may already provide the needed information?
