My luck has been poor with SIM card readers.

Can anyone recommend a model (with a link for purchase) if possible of a good quality one.

There is a company in the UK called FTS that makes one of the most comprehensive SIM readers on the market. They also read EVERY address sector, no matter which type of SIM.
