It’s too late to reply on this post but I would like to help you face the problem data loss due to any reason like virus, accidentally deleted from hard drive. The first thing is you have to choose proper data recovery software that would help you to recover all your data. I have also recently lost my data from my hard drive. I have used Stellar Phoenix file recovery software. It recovers mostly of my data. This software provides free demo in which you can see the preview of your recoverable file. So it will be helpful to check weather your data is recoverable or not before buying the software.

Either http//www.recovermyfiles.com/ or http//www.restorer2000.com/ should do the job. There are others, but those are good choices for Windows. I have used Restorer2000 myself and have had good results with it.

Or you can run partition fider in EnCase and then Add the partitions manually in the Disk View. NTFS is nice because it has a backup VBR at the end of the partition.

Before running anything else, try TestDisk. It's free and saved my (_!_) when a client's server refused to boot. None of my other utilities detected that there ever had been a partition. Nothing worked until I used TestDisk. It had the server up in two minutes!

Testdisk has saved me a few times with this also
