I have been tasked with recovering two text messages from a handset HTC Tilt, can anybody shed any light on whether this can be done following my research I cannot see anything to do this
Thanks
From a quick scout around Google, it seems that the HTC Tilt is a HTC TyTN II re-branded by AT&T for the US market. As luck would have it, it runs Windows Mobile, so recovering the two text messages should be relatively easy. (I'm assuming they're live messages as you haven't suggested otherwise)
sorry Unicron the messages have been deleted, I know that Oxygen covers this but as I do not have the phone yet I haven't been able test this it was a telephone request to me
You might want to try XACTs WinMo dumper as well? Worth a punt I reckon!
I have an HTC HD2 that also runs Windows Mobile 6.5. Not to hijack the thread but does anyone know the location of the the live SMS messages in the file structure? I think I have found some in the /messages folder with an .mpb file extension. If this is correct, what is the best way to decode them for presentation to the case agent?
