Hi,

Currently i am working on a case which requires me to analyse a few DBX Mailboxes. I recovered the deleted mails via either paraben's email examiner or OE-Mail Recovery. However, i noticed that all the attachments in which were in the recovered mails were not accessible, as in, they were all corrupted.

I would like to check if this is indeed the norm when dealing with DBX recovered mails and has anyone else experienced this?

Cheers!
Bregan

Bregan,

do you have FTK? If you do, it would be worth processing the DBX files within FTK and see what results it produces.

Encase also has a feature to analyse DBX files, so another tool worth trying.

Bregan,
Did you try DBX Analyzer??I found it pretty good..?? Mail Navigator (www.mailnavigator.com) is also worth trying as well. Encase v5 and FTK sure wont dissapoint you for dbx files…
