Deleted data on the above handsets can be extracted via Chip Removal. MD5 provide chip removal services to some of the major police forces in the UK. We are able to extract deleted data from handsets that are not supported using the 'standard' tools. If anyone would like costs or information sending please feel free to pm me.
I thought i would offer the services to save you trawling through google!
The chip removal is a good one but not needed on the above models. My company have been doing 6230i's for example, for 6 years +. The Chip off process will render the handset useless.
I agree that there are different methods of deleted data extraction using different tools and of course with the 6230i we also have the capacity to pull off deleted data using these tools. However Chip Removal will retrieve more data and for a lot of phones is the only process to acquire deleted data.
The chip off process is obviously not widely used but for certain jobs (high profile for example) it can be vital in the investigation. There is also a bit of a myth knocking around about the cost of this process, nowhere near as expensive as some people may think.
