Any recommendation on HDD dock with either USB3 or eSATA?

I've used vantec nexstar (white), quality is so-so, one crapped out in a couple of months. I also have a dual-bay thermaltake blacx with USB3, but it has an annoying power-save feature that will unmount the drives after a period of inactivity, I tried to turn it off via setting but so I've been unsuccessful.

Thank you.

I'm happy with the Sharkoon Quickport series. Cannot compare them, as I never used others.

StarTech dot com
UNIDOCK3U - USB 3.0 to SATA/IDE Hard Drive Docking Station

or

SATADOCK22UE - Hard Drive Docking Station for Dual 2.5 or 3.5in HDD

or

DatOptic dot com
Sbox-4p - Four Drive SATA II with Built-in Port Mulitplier SiI3726 - eSATA host

Have not had any problems with any of them.

Also check Icydock stuff,

We use older model 4x tray with individual HDD power switch, no problems so far.

I just got a new (inexpensive) CoolerMaster CM 690 II case with a SATA dock built into the top the case.

Much faster than USB and very convenient. See,
http//www.coolermaster.com/product.php?product_id=6638

(SATA is hot plugable)

I have been using a Coolgear USB3 write-block device for my quick desktop dock ($40 at CoolDrives.) It works better than any of the docks I have used previously and is very transportable.

I also have a CoolerMaster CM690II with the topside sata port. A great option.
