Hi There

Has any done any forensic work with sage line 50?

I have a complete working image of the server containing sage line 50. I can view some files and but its too much out of context for the I need to get the program working through an application environment so that I can able to drill down.

So far i have managed to export it and mount it on the desktop computer by copying the program folder to the program files and all the dll from the system32 directory to the local drive. - This method works but there is still some missing links to the data

Is there a repair function for this?

Im thinking VM ware also but its too much playing around.

I have got a mirror image on a hard disk and tried booting it up on a different machine but its it hangs.

Is there view utility for this sage data.

any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

PK

Is there a viewer out there for sage line 50

Sage Line 50 works through an ODBC database, so first of all its the network-shared database folder you need!

Once you have that you should be able to access all the data through Microsoft Access or similar using any of the Sage user accounts that have financial controller or management access permissions.

If you're after something more specific please tell me what and I'll see if I can prepare a recovery tool for you.
