I'd like to ask your help regarding an issue I'm facing with s6 edge.
I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge (SM-G925F, fingerprint locked) and by the help of Odin3 v.3.10.6 I installed the twrp_5.1.1_edge.tar on that. My aim was either to get access to the datas on the device or unlock it.

During the Odin process I have ticked off 'Auto Reboot' and the TWRP was successfully installed. As I have started it, I wanted to make a nandroid backup but unfortunately there wasn't enough space on the phone, so I could manage to do only a system backup at first time.

Since then I can not boot up the phone in normal way, the system booting is not working. I can push the system restart from the TWRP, but as the booting logo appears it freezing. I can restart the device in download mode and I can also achieve the TWRP in recovery mode, but I am not able to boot the phone up normally.

I wouldn't like any data loss happen, but at least I'd like to recover the system boot up as it was before.
Thank you guys for your answer in advance.

Try wiping the cache partition in TWRP.
To make a full backup, have you tried using a large USB Stick attached via a USB OTG cable?

Well if you intend to unlock maybe investigate a ROM for the model you are dealing there are numerous sites out there.

Maybe look at 7zip to open up the tar.md5 and then repackaging.

Have a look at this website for help

Try reflashing original firmware, sammobile.com for downloading it.

Some s6edge has bootloader locked, so you will need to unlock it by a box or by exploit

You can give a try philz recovery. I have reset the security code of samsung devices successfully from it. Unfortunately, have not yet received any s6 edge yet to try upon.
Following links might help

Hi Guys,

Since my last pm I could manage to do a nandroid backup on the device by TWRP via OTG cable. Unfortunately - as I know - this type of backup doens't involve the personal files like sms, pics, videos and so on. (Let me know if I am wrong) In the backup I have .md5 and .win extension files.

After I renamed the extension from .win to .zip I could browse them, but obviously I could not find any personal information in that. Apparently it seems I can't extract any information from these.

As the S6 Edge device is still in bootloop (it goes just to the boot logo, however I can reach the TWRP in the recovery mode and I also can reach the download mode) it seems I must flash the firmware by ODIN.

As this process wipes everything on the phone and even if I restore the TWRP backups (which doesn't include the personal informations) I won't have access to the personal files. Is any way in this situation to extract and analyze the personal datas? If I flash to the phone a new firmware I think there is no point to root it, as I won't be able to restore any informations from the TWRP backups related to the owner, will I?

I have tried to empty the cache and Dalvik cache in TWRP without any luck. The phone remained in bootloop.

As I see this situation now maybe I will be able to redo the OS on the phone, but I will loose the owner related informations anyway.

Please suggest me if you have any idea how to get access to the personal infos.
Thanks

1)JTAG
2)Chip-off

(A memory chip of the phone may be encrypted)

Once you're in TWRP you should be able to create a DD image using the terminal or by connecting it to a machine with ADB enabled. if you use the terminal use a USB OTG cable and a USB Stick.
