Greetings,

Is anyone aware of any SATA to SATA writeblockers under development? We seem to have made it as far as IDE/SATA/etc to Firewire and IDE to IDE but no futher. The Firewire interface severely limits throughput and the IDE connectors, when using SATA drives, require a fragile and expensive combination of cables and converters. It's a real shame to have robust eSATA connectors and need to connect IDE cables to them.

Tableau has the T35 which has SATA in and eSATA out. I would expect the other makers to follow suit pretty soon.

The tableau re-seller here in Australia sent out a newsletter two weeks ago saying that the eSata Tableau T5es is now available for order.

The tableau website is also showing it in their product line
