Hi I am within my first year of working in forensics and although I am a frequent reader this is my first time asking for help.

I have been given two SCA disks to image - I am using the hardware below with Encase v6 on XP.

SCSI-3 68F TO SCSI-3 SCA80F ADAPTER

Connected to this
Tableau T4 Forensic SCSI Bridge

One of the disks doesn't light up the "SCSI detect" LED and the other disk that does is not detected by Windows and Encase hangs when searching for the local drive to acquire.

What am I missing? Is it possible that it isn't a filesystem recognised by Encase? If so where do I go from here?

Must the SCSI ID be set for the disk to be detected?

Thanks in advance

First thing I would test is your Write Block. Make sure it has the latest firmware and recognizes the disk. Tableau Disk Monitor does this and more.
