Good luck with that. Dell is one of the few manufacturers that supplies manuals to anyone other than authorized service centers.

For a few $$ you can order a CD-ROM with manuals (but I did not see your model, appears to be US only) Tech Media CD
Another source, if you care to search for something compatible Laptop Manuals.com

The product page on Toshiba UK has zilch. Equium L20-198 with IntelĀ® Cel... Part Number PSL2ZE-002002CY
And the user manual is equally useless.

For the user manual you can go here
http//uk.computers.toshiba-europe.com/cgi-bin/ToshibaCSG/download_manuals.jsp

For the service manual you might try these

http//www.retrevo.com/samples/Toshiba-Laptop-manuals.html

http//www.eserviceinfo.com/equipment_mfg/Toshiba_43.html

Hope this helps.

Had a good look around but seems to be nothing. so its gona be screwdriver, some tubs to keep the screws, notepad, camera, and possible some valium. (or should i take that first!!)

It has been said before, but when laptop hard drives are hard to get to (more than half a dozen screws away or so…), I usually don't even try to disassemble the thing and go for a boot CD (Helix or other…)

Acquisition is slower but it saves valium and aspirin -)

Hi Mitch,

I dont know if you have already attempted (and failed?) to fix what it was you were trying to do, but I usually find eBay is a great source for service manuals…. for most things, it would be my last resort, but for service manuals, it has never let me down.

Kind Regards,

Minesh
