I have an E01 file on my physical machine that I would like to work with in SIFT, but I can't figure out how to share that folder with the SIFT workstation.

Google is not being my friend either…

I could probably enable the folder sharing in VMWare and then try to figure out how it shows up in the SIFT workstation. (Do I have to mount it or is it already mounted?)

There must be a proper procedure/methodology to do this however.

Can anyone point me to a link with instructions or tell me how?

Thanks.

Do you have VMware tools installed in SIFT?

As I remember with SIFT, if you go into the VM settings and add you image file location to your "Shared Folders" it will appear of the Desktop of the VM under a folder named VMware shared folders or something similar.

Thanks! I feel like an idiot (my normal state).

There is now a folder on my SIFT desktop called VMWare-Shared-Folders.
