Does anyone have any ideas regarding dealing with Skype phones? I would be interested in people's appraoches to these, thanks
It really depends on the model.
Some VOIP handsets are just USB devices with a keypad, the software on the computer has all the info stored to it.
At the other end you have the mobile phones with skype client.
Generally though you can get the userid, contacts list and calls list from the handset or the computer software.
Now, in our office we do mobile forensics leaving laptops etc to the high tec crime unit, so Skype maybe better going to them then eh?
If you are asking about the AMOI WP-S1 and WP-S2 Skype phones, then Cellebrite UFED supports them both.
Regards,
Ron
Does Cellebrite extract call information from those handsets?
AMOI WP-S1 using UFED only extracts Phonebook.
Phonebook and SMS are supported.
Call logs can be extracted using the File system dump feature although without decoding.

What version of Cellebrite are you using?
We have not updated for a while and that would explain why we only have support for S1.
Cheers
v1117 is the current UFED version.
v1119 is due to be released early next week.
