No. This is not the case. Bootloaders are also updated during OTA updates and data is still fine after that process.

Sorry I meant recovery (twrp) not the bootloader.
It happened to me when I installed twrp using file from firmware.mobi the system will reset. What I googled was that I messed the encryption key. Please current me for my understanding.

Also not, as far as i know and seen. Worst case scenario i've seen (with custom boot image or recovery flashed) on S7 and up, it might prompt you that system is corrupted and you have to factory reset in order to get it to work again. Restoring stock boot and recovery made that go away and data were still there.

BTW, new Samsung phones (i've seen it on A6+ 2018) will wipe then phone if you enable OEM Unlocking in developers menu. It'll prompt you before doing that but still, something new.
