I sent a picture from my blackberry to my spouse, the option when he received it was to download the picture. He downloaded it and was prompted to use print wizard on our xp computer. When he went to print the picture he noticed several picturers attached something like a slide show. This slide show contained snippets of websites he visited in the past. It could have been a picture of something on the site as small as the x to log out of the site. It would only be pictures of one or two things on the web page that he visited prior to the download. Our printer is an HP wireless and our computer program is xp. We feel that our privacy is being violated by the fact that something in our computer is logging certain things we are doing on a daily occurance. Can anyone help and let me know whats going on or point me in the direction as to where to go for help.
if you look deeper your computer monitors practically everything you do from visiting websites to plugging in your usb device.
Try contacting the relevant manufacturers and seek advice from them why this is happening and try to correct the issue as its more of an unwanted feature than a privacy intrusion until somebody else's wireless intercepts these images.

Actually it is your computer, or more precisely your operating system (XP) and your browser settings that are "recording" what you are doing.
Generally speaking browsers keep a representation of where you have been on the Internet to speed your browsing experience. This is partly a convenience, partly a remnant of when Internet connections were slower.
The other part of this is the XP print wizard which catalogs the images on your computer so you do not have to search for them to print them. Again this was designed as a convenience for less skilled computer users.
This is not some malicious program, but depending on how you look at it could be considered somewhat Orwellian.
I think you will have probably caused alot of the members of this site to have a bit of a giggle with this one if I'm honest. What you seem to have found are the temporary internet files which windows stores of sites that you visit. Windows collects these files from websites you visit to make it quicker for you the next time you go onto the site. It is very standard and nothing to worry about. It is possible to clear these files but to be honest unless you really don't want them there your best leaving them as it can help speed up your browsing. They are nothing to worry about and they only stay on your computer.
