I have been using a mobile phone forensic software application called MOBILedit! Forensic from Compelson. I have always been very satisfied with it as it is the most thorough product on the market. The reports that it generates are unbelievably detailed with everything off the SIM and internal phone memory.

I recently spoke with a representative at Compelson and he told me that ME Forensic will be able to retrieve deleted messages from the SIM and the internal phone memory in the next month. They will be releasing an updated version that will have this feature.

Because there is no other software on the market with as many features as ME Forensic, I thought I should let everyone know about the product.

Presumably you didn't have to go too far to do that, Evan, given that you appear to work for the same company. Sigh cry

That reminds me, must update the forum acceptable use policy.

True Jamie, I didn't have to go far to speak with a represenative at the company ) But it still does not change the truth of everything in the message. It is the best product on the market.

Yes, Sachin, I have tried Paraben's Cell Seizure and it has many features common with Mobiledit! Forensic. However, it does not have near the capabilities or amount of features. I have found that the reports generated on Paraben are not as detailed.

I may work for the company, but having tried all the similar products from the competitors, I can honestly say that no other software is the world has the amount of features and capabilities that ME Forensic has.

If you would like to give Mobiledit Forensic a free test drive, let me know (preferably by email at dixon@compelson.com). I will set you up with a trial period to use the application

Hi

I have been recomended MOBILedit for mobile phone forensic by another member of forensic foccus, but i have not had a chance to use it, ForensicMan you are rating this software very highly, and it seems like you have alot of experience using it, could you tell me if a mobile phones IMEI number is changed can this piece of software detects it, Could you also point me in the direction of some literature regarding MOBILedit.

Thankyou

Quality shameless plug!! Bravo..

I use ME Forensic (along with other stuff) and on the whole it is pretty good.

You might wanna add NEC handset's to it though!! Am getting sick of manually extracting SMS messages from those pesky animals!!

Glen.

Hi all,

Could anyone recommend a suitable Sim Card Reader?

What features are disabled in the demo version MODILedit Forensic?

Thanks.

hi i have an experencie with retrieving deleted sms and dont fall in the fuzz u will retrieve from some phones that delete the bit of space and other phones deletes the hole message. in example i have retrieved ok from an nokia 1100 but not from an 6820. the best tools for this i have experiences are simcon with an pc/sc from omnykey or a free version xsim (actually is created for cloning the sim but have the capability of reading the by sector and retrieveng deleted sms in hexa, yes the pin section of the memory is encripted)
i have used this software with 2 type of hardware a ps/sc from gemplus and a phoenix te-21 card reader (serial)
