I don't have the E01 module for the Logicube so can't test that I'm afraid. The utilisation of DD that Logicube are using on the Forensic Dossier doesn't offer compression, which isn't a problem for me personally as it means quicker imaging and less time spent on site, which is always a good thing. If space is a problem I compress using FTK-I when I get back to the office. It uses SHA-256 and MD5 hashing only.

We've noticed a few issues but overall we're happy with their performance and their speed. In one instance there was a problem where one of your devices couldn't complete two separate 11 dd images on the same unit. That issue was fixed promptly by ICS. Another issue we encountered was unexpected crashes of the OS. This also was fixed by ICS updating the firmware (this was a brand new unit out of the box). The last "issue" we've noted is that the current frame\shell seems to have limited ability to secure the primary cables (SAS/SATA cables). ICS has been very responsive whenever we've had a problem.

I have used Solo-3 but wasn't overly impressed with them as I've had many occasions where it couldn't recognize 2Tb evidence drives and the touch screen is a paaaaaaaaaaain to operate and not to mention there's no anti-glare on it…
