I have got Symbian S60 (Nokia) mobile phone and I suppose any spyware has been installed. I have done some basic steps as checking installed applications, etc. but nothing has been found.
Any suggestions guys what should be done to find it (or to find it is clean)?

I have found few posts here about it posted long time ago but I hope there is more knowledge and possibilites now.

Thanx a lot )

Ricco, have you any thoughts what this spyware might be recording and/or how it will communicate the captured data?

This is a hot topic everywhere for MPF

What are the basic steps that you took?

Based on user's description it can be Mobistealth,Spyera,Flexispy or something similar. Somebody has known user's locations, content of messages, etc.

What are the basic steps that you took?

I have look at applications manager, uninstall applet also tried to find something suspicious with Oxygen Forensic but no luck. It is easy to guess such kind of software is or at least should be deeply hidden. So above activities have been done more for my peace of mind then for the hope something can be found in this way.

So I have hoped somebody here has got any experiences or skills with finding such spyware.

On thing is to check call records and look for data packets sent at odd hours. If the person knows they were asleep at 200am and the phone was sending out data that is a good indication.

I don’t have much experience with Spyware on cell phones, but I’ve been told that most of them come in a form that, once installed, is virtually undetectable to the victim? I also don’t have a well established foundation in cellular forensics to know what evidence might be present on the handset. However

EBWahlberg mentioned checking for sent data packets.

What about in CDR’s? If I were able to obtain an IP log for a handset that had Spyware on it would there be evidence of traffic between the handset and the Spyware website? Or do these programs operate in a way which would be undetectable to the providers?

Thanks,
