I've identified a number of files of interest using Magnet Axiom, however they are located within the "System Volume Information" folder. The file names appear to be encrypted and I don't have access to open the files. Is there any way to decrypt the file names or gain access to the files? They consist of excel, word, and Powerpoint files.

Which windows is it?

No ideas about the encryption of filenames, but anyway you should be able to copy them using "direct" or "raw" copy, see

EZ has a nice and easy tool that will let you mount the VSC's and browse them from within Windows

I am missing the connection between "System Volume Information" and " Volume Shadow Copies" ?
