Does anybody have any ideas for projects based around TOR and what could be done?
Reporting, alerting or anything along those lines? Thinks to look for etc.

Within the DarkNet accessing by Tor you may try to find answers by the following questions
#1 Which way is the 100% non interceptionable way technically to access the Darknet by Tor?
#2 How can you be alerted if the FBI is guarding the Exit Nodes?
#3 How can you find out if the NSA is running the Entry Guards?
#4 Can an ISP Internet Service Provider find out by BGP analysis that you accessed Tor?
#5 Within DarkNet there are Social Media communities, how to find?
#6 How can you crawl the DarkNet to get intel about planned attacks against Fortune 500 Ltd.,s?
#7 Can you deep dive and find the Chinese part of the DarkNet?
#8 If you detect BTC transactions, can you resolve to sender and receiver API?

Not to mention if Russian FSB are running Tor nodes that injects malicious code, which was revealed a few years ago.
As for 9, i think there are documents describing that.
A few more questions
* Can you use latency, i.e. set up a tor link to use a specific entrance node and an exit node to measure latency and approximate where a tor user/server is located? I've been thinking of doing this myself, but time and interest ran out.
* What sites can you find that are indexed by google that are darknet hosts because the server admin is a dumba**?
* What OTHER meta than the server error pages (i.e. like the unconfigured apache hosts we saw earlier) can you use to reveal information about users and a server or hidden service on the TOR network?
