Toshiba Satellite M60, wipe BIOS password

There's a pad that needs to be shorted. For the M60's I believe it's pad J2 located under Memory Slot 1. Remove all power sources, remove memory modules and then use something like a flat bladed screwdriver. Hold the blade across the two contacts for the shorting pad for about 40 seconds.

Alternatively if you're having troubles, any Toshiba Authorised Service Provider will do it for you as a chargeable repair.

*that is happy for did it* so now my client has the data retrieved
and a laptop that can be reused in the business
