Are these your own blogs sites (where you have admin access)?
Do you know the IP addresses already?

If you have the IP address then it is in most cases trivial to find general location of the user.

If you are trying to identify the IP address of a poster to a blog then you will need access to the site logs, it is highly unlikely that you will identify this otherwise.

If you can gain access to the IP address used when the message was posted, you can try a few things.

http//whatismyipaddress.com is pretty good and locating IP addresses down to the ISP and general geographic area. To identify that address with a person, you will need to subpoena the ISP's records for which subscriber was using that IP address at the time that message was posted. Whatismyipaddress.com will help you identify which ISP gets the subpoena.

Even after you do that, you will have a lot of work left to do if you want to tie the IP address to a person. You'll have to consider how many people have access to that Internet connection (both legitimate access and stolen access through an improperly secured wireless connection). In the case of corporate or university networks, you could be looking at thousands of people. You may also find that a proxy service was used, and the real IP address is lost forever. The user could also use TOR to mask their true IP address.

I think everyone hit it on the head pretty well so far.

If it is your blog site, then you should be able to get the IPs. If not, maybe you're in a position to request the blog logs through a subpoena or warrant. Honestly though, even if you have the IPs, you aren't going to get much.

Realistically, unless you own the space (and even then), you're not going to have much to go on once you consider proxies and NAT. Attribution is real tough in general, especially if you don't have support channels (i.e. legal foundations) or resources for hunting the blogger down.

This sounds like an intermediary to something else. What are you trying to accomplish, discover?

Tricky case, it become interesting soon after.
In best case scenario, you trace IP to the router, after you knock on the door you find thet there are 4 x computers in the house all with dynamic allocated IP and 6 occupants!? Where you go from here. Start analysing computers and then pick the one person from the 6 who post the blog. All saying"me nah, me don't know nothing"
