For a complex case in the triangle of CH, D and A we investigate Mobile Broadband Network location timeline. The suspect was moving in short time cycles within these 3 countries and also gave his mobile to another suspect. Just think about a very complex location timeline. Combined with public surveillance we have the 'real' facial-recognized location in certain timestamps. The case is very
time-sensitive and therefore a fast process is required. Out of experience we know that it takes more time the more players have to provide warrant-based CDRs and data traffic IPv4-timeline.

The issue (not a question) we face is how to speed-up a near-realtime tracking and history-based precise location timeline. How to establish an open approach as the case is still running is our crux.

To keep secrecy I search FF members to discuss aspects to improve speed. On one side to reduce complexity is critial as we skip important details and on the other side is high pressure to become faster. The potential for preparation related to technology and heads of partners is streamlined but still not fast enough. If someone has actual experience out of LTE-A and 2-Carrier Aggregation of multi MNO cases could give us advice would be great.

Quiz In what time cycles submits a Mobile Station connected to LTE-A a location update by paging on default (seconds)?

Paging cycles are related to eDRX extended Discontinuous Reception (RX often in radio frequency aspects is the abbreviation for Reception, TX respectively for Transmission).

In 5G adjustable eDRX looms up

Do you know the answer know -) ?
