I want to do a full system-drive encryption of my machine using Truecrypt.
I have Windows XP and Wubi Ubuntu loaded on it.
Question
If I were to choose MULTI-BOOT on the "Number of Operating Systems" screen, would it work? (even with the Wubi version of Ubuntu?)
-OR-
Am I better of uninstalling Wubi, truecrypting the drive and then reinstalling it?
The Wubi version is just to mess around with.
Would appreciate any help from those that have tried it or tried different options (yes - I've two forensic images of that drive already before I putz with it ) )

I'm not aware that Truecrypt supports whole disk pre-boot authentication for anything other than Windows. I have no idea what it will do with a multiboot option. If you try it, let us know.
Personally my laptop uses single boot whole disk encryption (LUKS), and I run secondary operating systems via VMware. You could do the same thing in reverse with a whole disk Truecrypt boot to Windows, then run Ubuntu via VMware.
Not Ubuntu, but certainly along the lines of what you want.
Yes, I believe it does.
Wubi Ubuntu btw, is a Windows based installer - it will automatically create the partition for you and give you a dual boot option. You run the setup within Windows. When you want to remove it you remove it from Add/Remove Programs. www. wubi-installer .org Good option if you want to putz with it without worrying about partitions etc.
I am going to test it on a Virtual machine first and then will use the document that Bithead linked and try it. Will let you know )

Thanx, Bithead!
