Any here that have any experience with UART?
I have a Ring Doorbell 2nd gen I need to find it on for my bachelor project but cannot seem to find it. If anyone have any idea I will be happy to share pictures of the board for any pointers.
I have been looking at a lot of different guides, including that one. My problem probably is that this is my first time actually even looking at a board so I have no clue what I am looking for. I tried probing using my multimeter as well, but I really have no clue what I am looking for, where and what I should probe.

Seeing guides saying find GND by probing this and this, and my board is not looking close to the same so I just keep scratching my head
I will be happy to share pictures of the board for any pointers.
Maybe post clear photos of the boardÂ
@aakra if the manufacturer's Ring Doorbell PCB is consistent with their current security approach to remove and/or reduce attack surfaces as mentioned in this article https://medium.com/tenable-techblog/inside-amazons-ring-alarm-system-9731bc519974 then hunting for UART might not give you what you are looking to achieve.
Thanks for the photos, I will look at them tomorrow.Â
@aakra The photo with number 8CS9202S.0A2G appears to show (similar to Gen1 test points) at the top of the board in the middle there are six below and five above. Have you tried testing these at all?
Have tried to probe them but might just be me who are doing it wrong. I do not have much knowledge with this so I pretty much just probes randomly around
