The phone is locked and OP doesn't know the pattern to unlock it, otherwise he could just activate ADB.

A physical extraction of the storage will be necessary via JTAG or DirectEMMC or whatever's appropriate, and then the gesture.key file can be accessed and, with a bit of luck, decrypted. Assuming the storage hasn't been encrypted.
