Hello everyone,

I am a student currently studying my masters degree in Computer Forensics. For the major group project component of my masters, myself and some colleagues have conducted research into the field of vehicle forensics, analysing three different infotainment systems as well as taking a look at the CAN bus to discover if any data of evidential value can be found. We have produced a research paper documenting our findings.

It would be greatly appreciated if people could give our paper a read and provide feedback via the questionnaire. All feedback will be used to improve the paper. A link to the paper is provided below along with the feedback form.

Thank you in advance.

There are more than just the CAN for vehicles. (LIN, DC-BUS, D2B, FlexRay, AFDX, ARINC 429 & 664, and on…)

Do not conflate the physical network with the protocol used.

It would make better sense to reposition your paper as a research into the target devices you have versus a topic presentation that happens to have access to the devices.

That is, make it into a definition paper of the actual devices you have, not an interpretive paper of vehicle buses.
