hi all,

I wanted to know any tools which can be used to identify whether an Video is morphed or tampered ?
Video format can be of any type.
If there are no such tools and then what techniques can be used to find out if the video is morphed or not ?

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks.

As well, there is a whole branch of digital forensics about video (and image) forensics, that (besides the training and knowledge of the operator) typically use high cost dedicated software, example

though free programs do exist, example

and see if you can detect it.

Hi,

The field of audio and video forensics is very wide and tampering of media can be easily done. So the process of authentication is important to verify that, no tampering is done with the videos. Though, it is a difficult task to detect the modification. For video authentication, you can use VLC player a free and indispensable program. You need to open a video with VLC and press the letter ”e” from the keyboard, this will allow you to move video image –by-image. Every time you press the letter”e” a text “next frame” will appear and if on pressing “e” image doesn't get changed, then there is definitely a duplicate image.

This the simple method to identify the modification in videos.

Or, more simply, nothing in the field of view of the camera moved in the fps gap.

Thank you for the timely and deep insight on the matter.
