Hi,
I'm working on a case and found several qbw files, short of buying and installing quickbooks is there a way to view or convert these files to something like PDF or Excel?
I've googled it but haven't found much that was useful and and Intuit doesn't do try before you buy any more.
thanks for the help
Greetings,
I'm not aware of any way to view a Quickbooks file with anything other than Quickbooks. A couple of other notes
1) There is an application that provides a SQL interface to a Quickbooks file but I think you still need Quickbooks installed. (QODBC - http//
2) The newest version of Quickbooks will open older versions but will convert the database in the process.
3) We generally try to open a Quickbooks file with the appropriate version of Quickbooks so we can see everything as the user saw it.
4) If you know a bookkeeper who uses Quickbooks, ask them if they can open it for you and print reports, etc. They'll often have older versions of it as well.
