This isn't going to be particularly quick though … What are the ADSL boxes ? You might be able to setup a VPN between them, rather than between the computers - might work better …

Well Azrael, I ve been throgh this couple of links before, but the issue is the IP addresses, I configured my work laptop as a server with 192.168.1.2and the one at home with 192.168.1.3, at the end it created only problems for the laptop that is configured as a server as my Internet connection been diverted . so no VPN connection between home and work.

Azreal, ifyou try the same process you will understand better , imagine you have Orange router at home and AOL t work , so please let me know about ur outcome,if u can. Tks mate.

Greetings,

If you use the same subnet for both networks, the routing will almost certainly break. You want to use 192.168.1.x at home, and 192.168.2.x at work.

I generally use 192.168.140+.x as everyone seems to use 192.168.<10.x.

Hamdy, another set of IP addresses you could use at work and/or home - 10.0.0.0 through 10.255.255.255. This would easily avoid any sort of confusion between the octets.
