Have anyone of you already tried that prequalification exam.
there are some tough ones inside.

Thanks for the link - I would say this exam is heavily weighted to people with extensive DOS knowledge ) If you'd asked me all of this stuff 15 years ago (when I was a young and keen DOS hacker) I'd have passed this with flying colours - as it is now, I probably got about 60%-70% of it definitely correct though questions on floppy disk formatting and sector sizes have definitely been erased from my memory. And no, I don't want it back thanks - yet *more* redundant information to carry around with me!
The test is good but I'd like to see more Windows 2000/ME/XP questions given that this is what the majority of people will be using nowadays, together with some mention of the NTFS file systems, as well as an arbitrary question or two on Mac or Unix OSs. It would also be good to have some more extensive questions on the Windows startup and login sequences, and defeating BIOS passwords, that kind of thing. There are also a wide range of removable devices about these days and people are also becoming more familiar with password protection, encryption, deleting history files, etc.
I'm not currently working in the forensics field at the moment but I'd also be interested to hear people's comments on this test.

Actually, my police station require that we pass that test to be able to work as a forensic examiner.
So I had to open back my old DOS books and even install my old but still working dos 6.22 set of floppy.
Most of the question are fairely easy but some of them are hard to answer.
