Aside from the iPhone, which devices would you argue provide the best geographical evidence? This may be related to images, SMS, applications or whatever. Would you say the Nokia Lifeblog devices are best for this? I am asking the question as part of my final MSc dissertation and would really value any suggestions. Thank you all in advance! D
LG KM900 phone-uses 3G Technology with full internet browsing and Wi-Fi connection. Also has a floating Image Gallery. Play with real digital camera functions that takes 6 continuous shots with one click. Messaging service- SMS, MMS, E-Mail. Document Viewer supports (doc, xls, ppt, pdf ).
The most useful data that I have seen was on an HTC Desire.
The phone had the GPS Tracker Lite APP.
Data generated by this APP could be found on the memory card in the gpst folder.
The tracks (gpx files) in this folder can be examined with Google Earth.
The data is saved every few seconds. Time and location are saved amongst other data.
Comparing one data point with another can be useful for calculating speeds.
No direct experience, but I noticed this was released earlier this year …
