New to the forums but lurking awhile. I have been reading on Solid State Drives and the advantages vs. disadvantages of them. Seeing has how they are a change in computer laptops from normal HDD, does anyone think that they will change/effect how forensics is done? I have read that they can possibly allow full deletions.

I just spent several days acquiring live systems that had been removed from the network. Several of the systems didn't have hard drives in the chassis, but Disk Manager reported 11 - 15 GB of disk space, across three partitions, in various configurations (basic, dynamic, spanned volumes, etc.).
I don't think SSD will have much of an effect on where forensics should be going.
