I know most tools arent "supported" in Windows 7 yet. But has anyone tried installing/using like Encase or FTK in the virtual "Windows XP mode" of Win7?
Would be interested to hear how it works…

FTK works natively in windows 7. I havent installed anything in the XP VM yet. But I know everything works great in a VirtualBox environment. You will store you case data somewhere on your host for easy access.

Just installed Windows7 RC, 64 bit
First program I tried to install was Encase 6.13, 64 bit
Installation failed, even after installing it under Vista SP2 mode.

So, no review from me cry

I use Windows 7 RC 32 bit. And I have no problem installing Encase v. 6.13, FTK, and X-ways.

Did you try downloading the HASP drivers from Aladdin? The drivers that come with Encase are not supported in Windows 7.
