I'm looking for a new area to research, and Windows Jump Lists seem to be a good place to start. I've only found one paper that reference them though, and was wondering if anybody knew of any others.

Wouldn't the purpose of doing a research project be to create those papers? 😉

@keydet89 HA!

Is a new area that I am sure would be of interest to many. I have for one started considering that it is of interest from what I have seen in my day to day operations on my Win 7 box.

You are of course correct, but I always like to check for prior work before starting a project. Writing a paper someone else already wrote a year ago is kind of embarrassing.

I have been researching this for a while and I have just started writing up a paper on Jump Lists and Windows Shortcut Files as a follow up to The Meaning of LIFE. I hope to have it completed soon.

Could you please outline what steps you took to check and see if prior work had been done?

Then maybe we could help more.

I've checked Google Scholar, then just Google search in general, then a few forums like this one. All I've been able to turn up is the paper I linked in my first post.

For sure check the DD forum and see if our friends across the Pond have any info on this. Craig and the bunch have a large network of examiners lots of whom have dissertations or papers which cover cutting edge, new, or topics which are hot.
