Hi,

I wanted to perform File Explorer copy paste of Long file path which is greater than 260 characters.

Steps performed
1. Changed the registry and Local Group Policy as suggested by Windows 10.
2. Restarted the system after changing the registry and Local Group Policy.
3. Still i am not able to perform normal copy of files through windows File Explorer.
4. We used 3rd party tool as alternative also used the Map Network drive feature to perform the task.

But the main problem is i dont want to use any 3rd party tool or the Map Network Drive feature.
Does someone encountered this fix or have any alternative or is it something which i am doing wrong. Please suggest with your inputs.

Windows Version Windows 10 Enterprise.

Seemingly Windows Explorer simply cannot manage longer than 260 characters paths, no matter if enabled by the registry only (HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\FileSystem LongPathsEnabled) or by the Group Policy (which does the same Registry Edit), because additionally the app/program needs to be specifically "manifested" with a longPathAware setting and Explorer cannot be.

Robocopy supports copy of long paths. This feature appears to be enabled by default and can be disabled with the /256 switch.
