Anyone had any success with memory card which has been extracted from a Windows Phone 7 Handset?

From what I have read on Windows Phone 7, the OS does not treat memory cards as removable storage. The device uses memory cards to expand the embedded storage memory in a similar fashion to RAID sets that you might encounter on a PC.

I think with these devices the best course of action is to perform a logical read of the device with the card in situ.

ive not figured out how to get any sms or call logs off from the phone but ive managed to get the contents of a fair few app's facebook,twitter etc and emails if that helps, i wrote a blog entry detailing a little bit here..

I believe the memory cards are encrypted or use a proprietary file system? cant be read at the moment anyway.

its possible to get sms data from the phone now, unless its using mango which wrecks all current data recovery.

The memory card uses Command 42 and must be read as part of the handset which therefore means its not possible to image -(
