Ok

So first Ecophobia – what is the point of introducing ourselves in such anonymous medium as Internet? If I say that I’m from FBI would you believe it? Do you think that only good guys can access this website?

Next – Tomforman yes it meant to sound like this “How can i disable the event logging so I won’t get caught doing something I shouldn't be doing

So if for E.G Logging Auditing in XP be default (turned off ) however by security policy turned on if someone will disable it – Further in investigation will be more difficult or(Impossible ? ) to determine which user was logged in in the specified time and for E.G how many attempts were to log in and how many failed…
Obviously we are talking about stand alone machine not part of the domain.

Keydet –- when it comes to counter forensics, investigators become to behave strangely and do want to share their knowledge.

I agree that haling and disabling is completely different thing.
