i have the ability to research but I really don't have the time to nit pick, it was meant to be a simple question with a simple answer, that is all. I neither have a defeatist attitude or the appetite for time wasting arguments, this is meant to be a helpful forum ( and not a replacement for my own google searching either). I don't think it needs any further sub division or qualification, if it cannot be answered how it was, fair enough but lets not degenerate it to mud slinging or anything else. either answer the question based on what is asked or say you cannot help, that is it really.

I really do feel the your frustration of being a student (as I am one too). Just try to reproduce the first link for your project (the examples are live/Virtual OSes, so just make two live usbs or cds one linux one windows). Its dated so your results may vary a bit, but I really don't know how to make this topic of preference and situation any clearer for you. Hope that helps.

grumpy or not, I prefer to try and keep things on topic and not digress to areas that have nothing to do with forensics. your contributions have amounted to nothing helpful in the slightest either to me or any other readers of this forum. Thanks

OK everyone, let's keep it on topic please - all participants have been sufficiently critiqued IMO.

am looking to compare Windows workflow vs Linux workflow, both against a Windows target.

Does anyone have a good guide / reference to either or, for reading ?

Any help appreciated.
