Wireless printers and great uncles

During a Boxing day family get together, I was asked by my uncle in-law to have a look at a new HP wireless printer that he got for Christmas as he could not get it working. When I went up to his study, I noticed that he had not plugged it in to the mains and the mains cable was still in it's bag. When I asked him about this, he said that he did not think he needed that as it was a wireless printer!

A reminder for the New Year that when all the clever stuff is done, it is our job to explain what we do and how we do it to the jury. Never over estimate what they know about IT.
