Please can anybody help, I had a SIM card that was CHV 1 locked, the officer has applied for the PUK and this has returned to me today,I have applied the PUK (checked to make sure I haven't typo'd) and it tells me its the wrong code? Is there something I am missing? its a Vodafone SIM (partitioned, data enabled)
(a) Did the ICCID / IMSI / MSISDN get wrongly recorded at first instance?
(b) Could the operator have supplied the wrong PUK?
Double and triple check everything…
Check other possibilities first but there may be something else, but I don't want to say in open forum.
As what trwmte has said but also
whats the message your getting on your SIM reading software?
Is it asking for you to enter the PUK or saying something else?
Have you tried to read the SIM in some other software?
The likelihood is that they have given you the incorrect PUK, however it could be faulty SIM or your equipment/software may just not like that SIM.
Maybe list the error message your getting and the Software etc your using/tried?
It could be that the owner of the SIM has had a new SIM issued by the Service Provider and they have supplied you with a PUK from the new SIM.
Its not unknown for this to happen!
Best of luck.
Unfortunately the officer has not got back to me yet to clarify but i appreciate the answers there are some variables there
This also happened to me. I tried a PUK in XRY and it didnt let me bypass the PIN; however this was tried again in USIM detective and it worked…

I've encountered the same scenario, except with a different arrangement of software (XRY worked where others failed).
hhhmmmm… How very strange. Best bet is to get the scenario and relay to the manuafacturers of the toolkit…
