Please use this thread for discussion of the "X-Ways Forensics Training, London, 30 March-3 April 2009" review.
Thanks for the Great review.. The Training was on my Short List… but has now jumped up a few places because of the review… Thanks!
Cool review, thanks. I am an avid user of X-Ways for 18 months or so and would love to attend one of stefans trainings. Never got the chance so far.
Here is another recent review if I may

Thanks Stefan.
I've been asked a couple of similar questions since the review publication along the lines of "Is there an introductory/intermediate course?" and "Are there any more task-specific courses? e.g. Internet activity investigation?" (I'm paraphrasing but that's the general gist).
Can you tell us if there there any plans to broaden the range of courses on offer?
Jamie
Stefan, have you read this book?
http//
On page 158 X-Ways Forensics is mentioned as a good tool for investigating OS X Timemachine Volumes.
No, there are not other courses (existing or planned), and the course should also be very helpful for intermediate computer forensic practitioners. (Even if you don't understand and grasp 100% you can benefit from the training).
No, I haven't read that book, but will take a look, thanks.
Thanks Stefan, I'll pass that on.
Jamie
I did Stefan's course a couple of years ago and found it was one of the best I have ever attended.
Of continuing benefit were the detailed handouts and class exercises.
A minor criticism is that there is not an update course available or updated course material on a self-tuition basis for people who have been on a previous course - I'd be happy to pay for this if it was available )
When I did my course the version in use was version 13 and as most of us know there have been huge improvements since then.
It would be useful to have some way of benefiting from these changes on an update basis
