Who is using X1 Social Discovery? Do you have any comments on it?

I see it being useful in fraud cases to establish friends and relationships, divorce cases (for obvious reasons), and personal injury cases.

Thanks

Looks interesting. I see a bright future for social media forensics as the amount of information out there is staggering.

We use it for collections for civil litigation - it's not really designed for forensics. With the most popular services like Facebook and Twitter, it's a solid tool, but can be a little frustrating to use for what should be straightforward web captures. If you have more specific questions, let me know.

If you are wanting training on the tool I know NW3C offers a training.

We've started using it and it's very good at what it does. As mentioned. it's not a forensic tool. They call it an Early Case Assessment tool. The only downside so far in my opinion is the output options. I'd like to output mail to a PST. The only options are HTML, CSV, or load file. Not helpful for eDiscovery or forensics. The keyword searching and date filter options are great.
