I just came across this. Never heard of it or seen it anywhere before? Is anybody else aware of it or even used it?

Edit here is a link

I don't know this company / software and in no way selling its product! Infact the complete opposite. I'm curious to find out anything before I even think about downloading this to my computer!

They will happily give you a trial version if you are not LE. I had a play around with it the other week.

It does what is says on the box, seems fairly quick and easy to use. It's main strength in my opinion is the report creating component as the searching seems to be pretty much the same as what you can do on You Tube itself.

If you find yourself needing to go through masses of You Tube searches and compile the results in a meaningful way then I think it would be worth the investment.

Hello,

I'm the developer of the above toolset and thought I'd quickly add to the commentary -

Firstly, it's always sensible to scan/test anything before installing on a production system - even if you trust the source.

We've taken the liberty of applying to Symantec to have our applications specifically whitelisted. Some have already been certified, such as the Facebook and LinkedIn toolkits, others are still going through the evaluation process.

There are some pretty unique features on the YT Investigator that go beyond just displaying volumes of YouTube search results - from the simplified reporting system, to downloading the video media, or data mining quickly across thousands of comments. We're just about to release v2.5 - which adds yet more functionality, largely as a result of some great feedback we've had from labs around the world.

Please do drop me line if you have any queries or would like a fully functional edition to see if it can help with your casework.

Regards,
Ross
