Data Retention Policies

Hi Guys,

I am currently doing some research regarding data retention policies in the Forensic Industry compared to other Law Enforcements groups.

I was wondering if anyone knows what the standard is on how long to keep data?

Sarbanes Oxley (Firms) - 7 years
Law enforcement - ??
Forensic Industry - ??

Or if someone could direct me to sites with the pertinent info..
